Concentrated Tank Cleaner 3895 (Gal)

What does Tank Clean do?

Today’s owners and operators that utilize steel tanks are tasked with keeping their tanks in a usable state – one that does not lead to non-desired costly downtime.  Fuel in tanks can turn rancid if not treated on a
prevention time frame and/or can need to be polished with No. 3895 Concentrated Tank Cleaner.  No. 3895
can be used to stabilize the fuel with the “Quarterly Maintenance Treatment” and/or polish the fuel with the
“Shock Treatment.”

The cost of a new tank has increased drastically.  This has demanded evermore the need to keep tanks
up to the Integrity Testing Standards of the American Petroleum Institute and/or the Steel Tank Institute,
by keeping tanks free from undesired pitting, rust, and corrosion of steel. Utilizing No. 3895 Concentrated
Tank Cleaner, at the proper recommended treatment ratio, can effectively increase tank’s life spans,
including most all tank materials.

Tank appurtenances like piping, valves and even sensors can be made of metal or contain even small
amounts of metal.  When this metal corrodes and/or deteriorates, this can lead to costly replacement and
unncessary downtime.  Undesired sludge, etc., can coat the tank appurtenances and sensors causing,
again, unneeded downtime and capital expenditures.

No. 3895 Concentrated Tank Cleaner is both a concentrated tank cleaner that requires a one-time “Shock”
Treatment (most tanks), and then No. 3895 Concentrated Tank Cleaner can be used to treat tanks at a
lower quarterly Maintenance Treatment, to maintain tank, appurtances, sensor cleanliness, usability, and
increase their lifespans.

Characteristics:

Sludge and water emulsions that typically clog fuel strainers, nozzles, preheaters, sensors and lines are
dispersed throughout the tank.  No. 3895 is an effective sludge “buster” and water dispersant to keep
undesired compounds from sticking to tanks during treatment with No 3895.  This also helps eliminate
the environment for bacterial or fungal growth by keeping fuel dry and clean.  No. 3895 Concentrated
Tank Cleaner also forms a protective film on internal surfaces of storage tanks and piping, which reduces
corrosion, pitting and deposit buildup.  No. 3895 Concentrated Tank Cleaner helps prevent the stratification
in tanks of poorly blended fuels.  No. 3895 Concentrated Tank Cleaner is a highly concentrated tank
cleaning additive.  No. 3895 Concentrated Tank Cleaner is a combination of concentrated compounds specifically
designed for use in storage tanks.  No. 3895 Concentrated Tank Cleaner reduces the time required for
cleaning and extends periods between tank maintenance or replacement due to excessive tank shell
thickness loss. It also works well as a concentrated fuel polisher, and will lower the time needed to
polish fuels when compared to commodity fuel polishing products.

Treatment:

The sulfur content of this diesel fuel additive does not exceed 15 ppm.  This diesel fuel additive complies
with the federal low sulfur content requirements for use in diesel motor vehicles and nonroad engines.
No. 3895 will effectively treat biodiesel, biodiesel blends, diesel fuel, ethanol, ethanol blends, or gasoline
fuels.
 “Initial Shock” Treatment
1 gallon of No. 3895 treats 1,000 gallons of biodiesel, biodiesel blends, diesel fuel, ethanol, ethanol blends,
or gasoline for tank cleaning.  Higher treatments may be needed for severe bulk tank problems; can lead to
non-registrable EPA fuel; owner operator may compensate by adding enough fuel, “meeting specification”
fuel back to tank, if enough room exists, to make fuel an on-road usable fuel.
 Quarterly Maintenance Treatment
1 gallon of No. 3895 treats 2,000 to 4,000 gallons of biodiesel, biodiesel blends, diesel fuel, ethanol, ethanol
blends, or gasoline.
Higher treatments, “initial” or “maintenance,” may be needed for severe bulk tank problems; owner operator
may compensate by adding enough new, “meeting specification” fuel back to tank, if enough room exists,
to make fuel an on-road usable fuel.
 Fuel Polishing
1 gallon of No. 3895 treats 1,000 gallons of biodiesel, biodiesel blends, diesel fuel, ethanol, ethanol blends,
or gasoline for fuel polishing.  Higher treatments may be needed for severe bulk fuel/tank problems;
overtreatment can lead to non-registrable EPA fuel; owner operator may compensate by adding enough
fuel, “meeting specification” fuel back to tank, if enough room exists, to make fuel an on-road usable fuel.
